Bed Service is a set of eight hand-sculpted clay pieces that play with the boundary between eroticism, absurdity, and symbolic ritual. Each form draws loosely from phallic imagery—some evoke mushrooms, stuffed condoms, or prosthetic dilatators, while others remain abstracted, echoing sex toys or fetish objects without fully declaring themselves.

Made of raw, fired clay, the sculptures bear the visible traces of their creation: fire scars, cracks, uneven textures. These imperfections are not flaws, but features—material metaphors for the vulnerability and instability of masculine desire. Fired but fragile, rigid yet easily broken, the forms speak to the paradox of virility: always seeking to appear firm, but always at risk of collapse.

Though none of the pieces are functional, they operate symbolically—as toys, desire, and oppresion of a culture obsessed with performance. They poke fun at the aesthetics of sex while nodding toward its deeper rituals: the tension between pleasure and pain, dominance and surrender, power and exposure.

The title Bed Service plays with hospitality and seduction, referencing both intimate acts and the absurd commodification of desire. This collection reclaims the domestic space as a site of erotic myth-making, where ceramics—a historically “feminine” craft—become carriers of playful yet pointed critique.
